U.S. should give Chinese organizations level playing field: Chinese represetative




WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) - The United States should quit making baseless claims against Chinese organizations including TikTok and give them a level playing field, Chinese Ambassador to the United States Cui Tiankai has said. 

"I don't believe there's a proof that any organization is giving such data to the Chinese government. Individuals make these charges, yet they never show any proof," said Cui in light of the U.S. government's claims that TikTok may give its information to the Chinese government when he was going to the 2020 Aspen Security Forum on Aug. 4. 

"All the time we hear objections here that we don't give a level playing field to American organizations. Be that as it may, to an ever increasing extent, I accept we ought to gripe Chinese organizations are not having a level playing field here," he said.

TikTok has been downloaded more than 175 million times in the United States and more than 1 billion times comprehensively, as indicated by the leader request, which asserts that the application naturally catches "huge areas of data" from its clients, presenting dangers to U.S. national security.
